A National/Regional Museum partnership programme in the East of England with the Imperial War Museum, Duxford and museums in Hertfordshire which aims to encourage more schools to visit museums.

Bedford in Wartime -  2005/6

A new e-learning resource for KS2 on local people’s experience of the Home Front during World War Two. Funded as part of an oral history project by the Heritage Lottery Fund with further support from MLA East of England.

3x3x3 - 2006

Artist’s residency project linking museums, schools and artists supported by MLA East of England and coordinated by the Cambridge Centre for Curiosity and Imagination.

Wordscapes - 2005/06

Literacy project aimed at Key Stage 2 & 3 pupils developed in partnership with the Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge, part of the East of England museum hub

Early Years - 2005/06

Resource boxes for Early Years teaching developed with financial help from the Bedford Charity.

Bedford Castle CD Rom -  2005

Education CD-Rom, free to teachers, on the history of the site of Bedford Castle. Funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund.

Objects & Viewpoints - 2004/05

A new art session and resource Objects & Viewpoints for KS3 pupils developed through a teacher placement programme funded by MLA East of England.

Poetry Day, 19 October 2004

A poetry workshop for Year 4 pupils from Camestone Lower School led by Richard Tysoe at the Cecil Higgins Art Gallery.

Bedford Bytes, 2003 - 04

An e-learning resource for schools based on the collections of the Cecil Higgins Art Gallery and Bedford Museum, funded by the Department for Education & Skills.

60 Tongues of Bedford, 2001 - 2003

A partnership with Bedford Foyer to involve young people aged 16 - 25 in the Museum and Gallery.
